A man missing on a remote and rugged four-wheel-drive track in outback WA has been found.

Phillip Blampied, 61, was due to return home more than one week ago from a trip through the Talawana Track and Canning Stock Route.

His car is understood to have been found about 250km north of Wiluna yesterday, an area which had become flooded after heavy rain in mid-January.

An aerial search was conducted for Mr Blampied, who was described as an experienced outback traveller.

The Kalgoorlie Miner understands he was found between wells five and six and is in good condition.
