Manning house fire: Arson squad detectives called in to investigate suspicious break-in and blaze

Arson squad detectives are investigating a suspicious fire at a home in Manning on Monday that caused more than a quarter of a million dollars damage.

The fire started sometime after 4.25pm when an offender or offenders forced their way into the home via a rear window.

It’s understood there was nobody home at the time of the break-in.

Fire crews were called to the scene and brought the fire under control. The blaze caused an estimated $300,000 damage.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone with information regarding the break-in and fire.
