Western Australia has recorded one new case of coronavirus and two historical infections, bringing the state’s total to 599.

The new case is related to overseas travel and the person is in hotel quarantine, the WA Health Department said in a statement on Saturday.

Serology testing confirmed a couple, who returned from overseas in March and completed their quarantine period, had also had the virus.

There are currently 31 active cases in WA, including 10 locals, one from interstate and 20 crew members from the Al Kuwait livestock vessel, which remains in Fremantle.

Meanwhile, the State has significantly unwound more COVID-19 restrictions overnight, with the limit on gatherings increased to 100 people or 300 in venues with multiple divided spaces.
