Morgan Davies racks up stack of possessions to help East Fremantle record emphatic victory in the WAFL

Royals junior Morgan Davies starred in East Fremantle’s emphatic league victory over the West Coast Eagles in round six of the WAFL competition on Saturday.

Davies played the first two matches of the season in the Sharks’ reserves side before he returned to the senior side last week and was named among their best.

The 24-year-old helped the Sharks finish 22.15 (147) to 3.4 (22) winners over the Eagles after finding plenty of the ball.

Davies collected 31 touches, six marks, four inside-50s, and booted a goal to go with two tackles in the 125-point demolition.

Fellow Royals product Tom Edwards kicked three goals for Swan Districts’ league team as they went down to West Perth by nine points.

Edwards was named in the Swans’ best players after booting three of his side’s eight goals to take his season tally to 12 goals.

The tall forward finished with three straight from seven touches and two marks.

Tyron Smallwood, Kalin Lane and Alex Pearce all impressed in Claremont’s reserves win as they beat Subiaco by 57 points.

Smallwood, who hails from Royals and Albany, had 17 disposals, kicked one goal, took three marks and had two tackles and two inside 50s.

Denmark-Walpole ruckman Lane had a game-high 32 hit outs while racking up 18 touches and four marks.

North Albany’s Pearce continues to impress this season after gathering 20 touches and booting a goal.

Jye Clark, Jack Steel and Corey Hitchcock were named in Perth’s reserves best players after helping them run out comfortable 64-point victors.

Railways’ Clark racked up 24 possessions laid six tackles and had six inside 50s.

Steel, who hails from North Albany, kicked two goals, had 24 hit outs to go with 12 touches, three inside 50s and three tackles.

Hitchcock, from North Albany, booted three goals straight in the win from his 17 disposals and four marks.

North Albany’s Talon Delacey again starred for the Tigers colts with 24 possessions, five marks, four tackles and a goal in their six-point loss to Subiaco.

North Albany product Darcy Cameron helped Collingwood get back on the winners’ list in round eight of the AFL, booting three goals.

The North Albany product was named in the Magpies best after finishing with 14 touches and five marks in their 18-point win over North Melbourne.
